System Support Specialist

Position: Systems Manager – Accounts Payable Production Support

Hours: Full-time

Location: 100% Remote

Pay: $55 - $70/hour

We are seeking a Systems Manager – AP Production Support with a deep understanding of the Lawson Accounts Payable (AP) cycle, strong technical acumen in SQL, and hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Looker. This individual will serve as the key liaison between technical and financial operations, leverage their expertise to optimize AP workflows, implement system improvements, and translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Lead ownership of Lawson AP modules as the resident expert, ensuring system integrity and maintaining data quality standards
• Deliver responsive production support for AP infrastructure, including identifying root causes, resolving operational issues, and implementing preventative measures
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient extraction and analysis of critical AP data from Lawson environments
• Craft intuitive data visualizations and dashboards in Looker that transform AP metrics into actionable insights for operational decision-making
• Build strategic partnerships across AP operations, IT infrastructure, and reporting teams to capture requirements and champion system improvements
• Spearhead AP-related system upgrades, patches, and enhancements from planning through implementation
• Uphold rigorous financial and operational control standards throughout all AP systems and processes

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with the Lawson AP Cycle – deep understanding of end-to-end processes, workflows, and data structures.
• Proven ability to write advanced SQL queries for Lawson data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Strong experience with Looker (LookML, dashboards, visualization best practices).
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a hands-on technical role, while also understanding the functional aspects of AP.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
