Telecommunications Equipment Installer Level III
Location : Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telecommunications Equipment Installer Level III to join our team in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment in Central Offices for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, as well as META and AWS Data Centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, test, and commission telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, fiber optics, and power systems in Central Offices and Data Centers.
- Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Terminate and test copper and fiber optic cables, ensuring connectivity and performance standards are met.
- Perform system upgrades, including hardware and firmware updates, and integrate new equipment into existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telecommunications equipment, including power supply, cabling, and network configurations.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards while working in Central Offices and Data Centers.
- Document installation processes, test results, and site conditions using company-approved tools and templates.
- Collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior installers and support staff.
