A day in the life…

Curious about what a day as a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looks like at The Iowa Clinic, specializing in Uro/Gyn at our Ankeny Campus?

• Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
• As a Part-Time employee, we anticipate you enjoying the true meaning of work life balance thanks to having every Monday off! Scheduling will be 7:30am - 4:30pm Tuesday-Friday (32hrs/week).
• Provides professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures
• Conducts comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs
• Assists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data
• Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
• Visit The Iowa Clinic intranet to see what volunteer opportunities are available to you this month and read what is happening around the clinic
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for
• Leave in the evening – hooray for working standard clinic hours!

Required Licenses

• Must be Certified as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse with the ability to practice in Iowa.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.47 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
