 Position Summary 

This position is responsible for assisting with marketing outreach and general client retention of the IRONMAN Xclusive Challenge (XC) Program. This role also includes logistics, merchandising, and shipping responsibilities. This position is Tampa based with travel to events (approx 13 per year) and office based responsibilities. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Work with the marketing team to set up campaigns promoting the XC program to registered athletes and past athletes. 
• Develop and execute sales outreach program to past XC athletes to ensure high retention and conversion. 
• Develop and execute sales outreach programs to qualified leads within the IRONMAN database to achieve XC registration targets. 
• Work to ensure smooth onboarding of XC Athletes after registration. 
• Develop creative methods to maintain periodic contact with XC athletes throughout the season. 
• Be a key point of contact for IRONMAN XC Athletes with the purpose of managing their XC Experience leading up to event and post-event. 
• Send out post-race surveys and compile results. 
• Work with the Merchandising team to develop XC Merchandise – includes designers, sourcing, managing manage inventory levels, pack/ship globally through ecomm partner.  
• Source items for promotional products.
• Maintain relationships with IRONMAN partners and vendors associated with the XC program.
• Assist with the applicable registration platform (Ticket Socket) on the XC athlete event registration process.
• Assist with all aspects of the XC program activities on-site throughout race weekend. Including interacting with families/guests of XC athletes and attending to XC athlete needs and requests. 
• Gain the trust and build meaningful relationships with XC athletes and their families. 
• Updating of XC website and XC social media platforms post-event with photos and results.
• Assist the IRONMAN World Championship Team to help facilitate smooth XC Athlete integration into their processes for registration, VIP, and credentialing.  
• Support the continuous development of the XC Program. 
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business code of ethics.

Requirements

Education and work experience:

• ·Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university.
• Knowledge of the sport of triathlon is a plus, but not a requirement.

Skills and knowledge:

• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individual personality types (top level executives, spouses, children and guests of XC athletes) for up to 17 hours on race day and throughout event weekend. 
• Knowledge and navigation of Microsoft Office and Social Media Platforms
• Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.
• Friendly, courteous, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude.
• Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
• Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.
• Strives to exceed goals and expectations.
• Team player with a "can do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain a professional atmosphere for employees, clients and customers.
• Travel required (approx. 25%), able and willing to work weekends and extended      hours as required.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs or more.(shipping supplies to events, moving boxes of      merchandise, etc.) 
• Ability and comfort level of transporting athletes/guests in 15 passenger vans and navigating new areas and countries.
