As a DSP, you will earn $21.58 / hr.
This position is mainly community based with one shift in a residential setting. 1st shift Candidates need only apply.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will be part of a Team that works directly with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We aim to assist these individuals in reaching their full potential and providing individualized support in their homes and in the community. You must be able to work as a member of a team, have effective communication and interpersonal skills, and possess patience.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for :
- Assisting the amazing people we support with their daily living skills, routines, personal care, and community activities as well as maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Advocating for and enhancing the lives of the people we support
- Participating in community activities, appointments and other activities as needed
- Working independently and as a team to provide supports through positive approaches
- Participating in agency required trainings including Safety Care, CPR, and Medication Administration
