The Role
Responsible for processing payroll using third-party software for individualized Self-Direction plans for Developmentally Disabled Adults, including but not limited to on-boarding new employees, managing authorizations, approving payments for goods and services, and updating budgets.
- Collect and review timesheets and process payroll bi-weekly.
- Collect and review on-boarding paperwork for new clients and employees.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families and vendors.
- Monitor and report on quarterly budgets using Excel worksheets for each client.
- Approve payments for goods and services.
- Maintain staff background records and employee files.
- Attend virtual meetings with BHDDH to keep updated on regulations.
- Perform other duties and job assignments as directed.
- 1 year payroll processing or bookkeeping experience.
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Must adhere to company confidentiality policies.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Technical Competencies:
- Payroll Processing: Basic understanding of payroll processes, calculations, and compliance requirements.
- Data Entry & Accuracy: Ability to enter and review payroll data with high attention to detail.
- Payroll Software & Systems: Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Timekeeping & Recordkeeping: Understanding of time tracking systems and maintaining accurate payroll records.
- Compliance Knowledge: Awareness of payroll-related laws and regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in payroll processing and financial records.
- Confidentiality & Ethics: Handling sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication with employees regarding payroll questions and concerns.
- Organizational Skills: Managing multiple payroll tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Customer Service Orientation: Providing helpful and timely support to employees and internal teams.
