Getty is the world's largest cultural and philanthropic organization dedicated to the visual arts. Getty's Investment Department manages a diversified portfolio of $8.5 billion in investment assets. We are seeking an Operations Analyst to join our team.
The Investment Operations Analyst will report to the Investment Operations Manager. The operations team will provide analytical and operational assistance in managing the endowment portfolio across all asset classes: Public Equity, Fixed Income, Absolute Return, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Assets and Private Credit. The operations team will work in partnership with the investment team to develop accounting and financial processes, procedures, protocols and controls to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the investment function. This includes participating in operational due diligence and managing the on-boarding and monitoring of investments. The team will also be in charge of for gathering, organizing, and presenting data on investment performance and risk attributes with the goal of improving investment evaluation and selection.
Operations
- Preparing cash forecasting reports for public and private portfolios.
- Manages the vendor expense management process for the investment office.
- Recording investment transaction activities such as market values, contributions, distributions, and corporate actions for select asset classes.
- Updating manager and fund-level data in the PMS.
- Assisting with the review of monthly valuations, performance, and NAV packets prepared by the administrator against the internal PMS.
- Reviewing performance and benchmark attribution reports for large movers in the portfolio.
- Preparing portfolio performance, liquidity, and risk reports for the investment team.
- Assisting with AML/KYC inquiries.
- Assisting with the preparation of the Investment Committee board reports.
- Assisting with the annual audit and tax function for the investment office.
Administrative
- Maintaining the team calendar; coordinating meetings and calls on behalf of the team.
- Providing assistance for team travel arrangements.
- Preparing expense reports in accordance with Getty Business and Expense policy and procedures.
- Coordinating Department events and workshops; liaison with external vendors for sites, facilities, catering, etc.
- Maintaining the office suite; performing mail runs.
- Maintaining digital and physical files.
- College or university degree, CPA designation and Notary Public a plus.
- Minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience in financial services or investment operations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office including excel) and adeptness at learning new software. Familiarity with Burgiss and Caissa platforms a plus.
- Exceptional ability for effective time management & meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and ability to work well under pressure.
