Overview:
Join Acquisition Advisors as an Acquisition Advisor to provide critical support and expertise in the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and contracting processes. We are seeking experienced professionals to develop innovative acquisition strategies and contracting approaches for the PEO MS/CIO(J-6).
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Acquisition Planning: Offer expert acquisition planning and strategic advice to ensure compliance with DoD acquisition regulations, especially for information technology. Analyze and articulate acquisition processes, guidelines, and policies.
- Advisory on Acquisition Approaches: Provide insights into acquisition strategies, including non-personal services and hardware/software procurement. Advise on agile acquisition methods, smarter contract solutions, and best practices in source selection.
- Intellectual Property and Cloud Services: Advise on software acquisition for defense systems, intellectual property, data rights, DoD cloud services, small business strategies, and acquisition reform initiatives in current and future NDAA.
- Training and Process Guidance: Conduct acquisition support training for PEO MS/CIO(J-6) staff. Guide the PEO MS/CIO(J-6) acquisition process to meet DHA acquisition needs, from problem definition to scaling technology solutions.
- Innovation and Engagement:
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify trends for mission readiness.
- Identify and prioritize technology use cases to enhance mission outcomes.
- Engage with emerging tech companies through solicitations, industry days, and tech roundtables.
- Scout and vet innovative tech solutions to support mission needs.
- Develop agile acquisition strategies that encourage participation from nontraditional tech companies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in DoD acquisition.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Extensive understanding of DoD acquisition regulations and processes.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
