Job Summary
The Medical Assistant II-Part Time is responsible for performing clerical and patient care duties as delegated by a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, and physician to maintain an efficient and effective work flow for providers. The duties include scheduling appointments, scheduling tests, scheduling procedures, answering phone and patient questions, preparing patient for appointment, administration of medications and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures for patients
- Answer phone and patient questions
- Prepare patients for appointments
- Administer medications and treatment as directed by healthcare provider
- Perform other duties as assigned by healthcare provider
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
