The Carter Lab has an opening for a postdoctoral associate in the computational biology of Alzheimer's disease. This position will be part of our ongoing studies that seek to understand the origins, progression, and potential treatments of Alzheimer's disease through multiple experimental platforms.
This project involves characterizing donor-derived organoid models and assessing their utility in precision medicine approaches to treating Alzheimer's disease. The position requires expertise in systems biology, including big data analysis, dimensional reduction, inference of disease relevance, and pharmacogenomic analysis.
We are especially interested in candidates with systems biology expertise seeking to develop innovative ideas in translational data analysis. Our collaborative, consortium-based environment provides a rich data environment and opportunities for follow-up experimentation.

Responsibilities:
- Perform independent computational analyses of multiple data sets to prioritize molecular hypotheses of Alzheimer's disease development
- Document and report results to center colleagues for collaborative experimental validation
- Lead efforts to disseminate research results, including publications, data sharing, and presentations to consortium peers and at scientific meetings
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or related field
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to be collaborative across disciplines
