Overview:
The Jacob Center has been serving youth and families in Northern Colorado since 1988. Our mission is to
work with youth, families, and the community to foster resilience, promote safety, and inspire lasting
change. We are proud to be launching Medicaid funded direct care mentoring services. Our Licensed
Therapist Supervisor will lead our Medicaid-funded coaching and mentoring services alongside our program managers and under the direction of our clinical director.

Part time to full time: The Jacob Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Therapist
Supervisor to lead our Medicaid-funded coaching and mentoring services. As a non-profit organization
committed to empowering at-risk youth and families, we are looking for a dynamic professional to oversee
direct services, provide clinical support/supervision, and ensure high-quality care. The ideal candidate will
provide clinical supervision/support to a team of youth coaches and mentors, utilizing evidence-based
practices to support youth and caregivers through trauma-informed care, skill-building, and personal
development while providing assessments and carrying a light therapeutic caseload. This role requires
strong leadership skills, clinical expertise and in-depth Medicaid documentation/coding knowledge, and a
passion for fostering positive, lasting change in the lives of youth and caregivers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Assessments and Direct Service:
● Conduct comprehensive assessments using validated assessment tools to gather relevant
information, engaging in case conceptualization that is rooted in a whole person, anti-oppressive,
and trauma responsive lens. Working knowledge/application of DSM-V and diagnostic criteria
● Collaborate with clients to develop and update individualized treatment plans tailored to their
unique needs and goals.
● Maintain a .5 FTE therapist caseload
Supervision and Leadership:
● In conjunction with the Program Managers, oversee the daily operations of the Medicaid youth
coaching/mentoring program including policies and procedures, documentation, referrals, staff
performance, training, and caseloads.
● Provide individual and/or group supervision to coaches and mentors, offering guidance on
therapeutic techniques, trauma-responsive care, and best practices.
● Support the development and review of individualized treatment plans for clients in collaboration
with the coaching team.
● Lead case reviews and provide clinical guidance to ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
● Foster a supportive and positive environment that promotes professional growth and emotional
safety for both staff and youth participants.
Training and Development:
● Design and facilitate training for coaches and mentors on evidence-based practices, trauma-
responsive care, and skill-building techniques.
● Ensure staff are knowledgeable about Medicaid regulations, compliance standards, and
therapeutic interventions
● Engage in ongoing professional development and encourage the same within the team.
Documentation and Compliance:
● In conjunction with program managers, ensure all services meet Medicaid standards, maintaining
accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
● Oversee all case notes, treatment plans, and billing documentation for accurate compliance with all
regulatory requirements (DORA, Medicaid, etc.).
● Complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation and coding in an electronic health record.
● Meet safety standards and demonstrate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory
(agency, DORA, Medicaid, etc) practices.
● Stay informed of current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of trauma therapy.
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development activities to enhance
clinical skills and maintain/progress towards licensure or certification requirements.
● Support referral coordination/assignment with the trauma therapy team and mentoring team.
● Engage with ongoing program evaluation/quality improvement efforts
Role Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
● Current, valid Colorado state licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent) is required. Pre-
licensed candidates are unfortunately not eligible for this position.
● Experience with clinical supervision and/or direct service work is highly preferred.
● Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
● Experience and knowledge of Medicaid regulations and mental health best practices.
● In-depth understanding of trauma-responsive care and experience working with community
partners.
● Strong commitment to advancing racial equity through culturally responsive interventions.
● Ability to pass CBI/FBI/Trails/Colorado Courts background checks.
● Must have a clean driving record.
● Must pass UA drug screening.
