Our highly rated insurance carrier client is seeking an Assistant Director of Annuity Actuarial Pricing. This is a hybrid role based in Wisconsin and relocation assistance will be offered. The Assistant Director will provide professional actuarial advice and services critical to development, implementation and maintenance of the company's insurance, disability, annuity and long-term care products.
Responsibilities:
Perform and/or supervise actuarial research and other actuarial work required to properly advise company officials on matters related to product pricing, dividend setting, reserve levels, mortality and morbidity issues, and field compensation.
Identify and solve a wide variety of actuarial problems related to the company's operation.
Stay up to date on current developments in actuarial techniques and research, as well as laws and regulations applicable to his/her area of responsibility.
Provide guidance to other officers or members of the department within the incumbent's field of expertise.
May represent the department or company as a member of company, industry or professional committees.
Requirements:
- A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation or equivalent qualifications with an additional year of actuarial service in order to provide substantial knowledge and experience in a variety of actuarial subjects
