Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract and Operations Coordinator to join their Market Data Team. This role focuses on managing contract workflows and operational processes related to data licenses. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who can handle multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision. The position requires 2-3 days per week in the Tampa office, with the team transitioning to a 3-day schedule starting June 1st.
This is a 12-month contract position, and while market data experience is preferred, it is not required. The team is looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment and can work effectively with subject matter experts in third-party data. Insurance experience is highly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming requests via ServiceNow tickets, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Direct inquiries to appropriate team members and manage workflow according to established processes.
- Follow a structured playbook to manage daily inflow of requests and operational tasks efficiently.
- Coordinate communication between third-party vendors and internal stakeholders, collecting and organizing responses.
- Assist in contract review and license purchases related to data services (e.g., Bloomberg, SMP, Infinitive).
- Work closely with internal teams in Tampa and New Jersey, supporting market data operations and contract-related activities.
- Maintain a high level of organization to manage complex workflows, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, unless the candidate has significant relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks.
- Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of assignments and can work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage urgency and handle time-sensitive tasks efficiently.
- Experience with contract coordination, procurement, or vendor management is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, particularly those related to license purchases.
- Must be comfortable working hybrid in the Tampa office (2-3 days per week).
- Insurance experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Previous operational experience or an understanding of workflow management is beneficial.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience with market data or working with third-party data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, SMP, Infinitive).
- Procurement, contract management, or vendor negotiation experience is beneficial but not required.
Additional Information
- 12-month contract position with a flexible start date; the client is open to an earlier or later start based on candidate availability.
- Hybrid work model: Candidates must be willing to work 2-3 days per week in the Tampa office.
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $30-$38 per hour.
