Pay Rate: $50-$60 per hour (W2)
Job Overview:
Our client, a leading provider of insurance and financial services, is launching a multi-year IT modernization strategy, including cloud migration and infrastructure transformation. As an IT Project Manager, you will play a key role in building out the Project Management Office (PMO) and leading critical projects that drive business and technology improvements.
This role focuses on traditional project management—including project planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement—rather than Scrum Master responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage two projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with IT modernization goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking timelines, budgets, risks, and issues.
- Oversee cost tracking and project financials, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Serve as a key liaison between business and technical teams, driving collaboration across stakeholders.
- Utilize ServiceNow for project management (preferred but not required).
Top 3 Skills:
- Relationship Building & Communication – Ability to engage stakeholders across business and IT teams.
- Project Management Fundamentals – Expertise in cost tracking, risk management, and structured project execution.
- ServiceNow Experience (Preferred) – While not required, experience integrating project management processes into ServiceNow is a plus.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of project management experience in IT or related fields.
- Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills.
- Experience managing large-scale IT projects (cloud migration, infrastructure, etc.).
- Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Richmond, VA, with occasional on-site presence.
- PMP or CAPM certification (Preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, or similar project management tools.
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $50-$60 per hour.
