Management Liability Adjuster

This position is required to be in the office 5 days a week. Only applicants that can commute to the client's location in New York City will be considered :

Job Responsibilities :

Management Liability Claims Analyst to help our client on a temporary four-month assignment and work from our New York City office. This position reports into our VP, Head of Private D&O Claims, also located in New York City.

How You Will Make an Impact :

• Adjudicate complex Management Liability claims requiring specialized knowledge and expertise.
• Handle Securities and Employment Litigation Claims
• Report to claims trends and developments to senior management and underwriters
• Providing technical guidance, assistance, and training to lower level associates.
• Analyze claim forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions and other records to determine whether the loss falls within the policy coverage
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Interview involved parties
• Manage claims in litigation
• Manage diary timely and complete tasks to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution.
• Properly set claim reserves.
• Identify, assign, and coordinate the assignment and coordination of expertise resources to assist in case resolution.
• Prepare reports for file documentation
• Applying creative solutions which result in the best financial outcome.
• Negotiate settlements
• Responsible for telephone calls and written correspondence to / from various parties (insured, claimant, etc.).
