We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Web Developer looking to play a critical role in building robust, high-quality web solutions that drive our clients' businesses forward.
Overview:
You will be expected to be fluent in HTML and CSS with good working knowledge and experience with jQuery/JS/PHP, practicing relevant coding practices. Knowledge of Elementor and visual builders, custom WordPress theme/plugin development, and experience coding HTML emails is a plus. The James Agency is looking for passionate people driven to do the best work possible in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with designers, copywriters, and project managers to implement website features and ensure a seamless user experience
- Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of WordPress sites to ensure functionality across different browsers and devices
- Optimize website performance, including page load times and overall user experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development or after deployment
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and WordPress updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Associate’s degree in a related major or relevant job experience
- 2 years experience
- Proficiency in WordPress
- Experience with Elementor and other visual builders
- Ability to cleanly code and customize HTML, CSS, jQuery/JS, and PHP
- Responsive design and coding
- Detailed understanding of cross-browser support issues
- Knowledge of Adobe Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience with wireframing tools such as Figma
- Ability to optimize and prepare assets for web
- Ability to translate approved designs for other page layouts
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires a fast learner and flexible thinker
- Desire and ability to learn processes and protocols of the agency
- Works well in a team environment (you have to be cool)
Bonus Skills:
- Creative eye for design
- Experience coding and cross-testing HTML emails
- Experience with GTM and Google Analytics set up Bachelor’s / Associate’s degree in a related major or relevant job experience
