Role Overview

We seek a dynamic Certified Medical Assistant / Virtual Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role offers variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our patients’ lives. The position is based in Chariton, IA, with two in-clinic days per week and three remote days performing virtual assistant duties.

Key Responsibilities

In-Clinic (2 Days Per Week)

  • Assist with patient care, including taking vitals and preparing patients for appointments.
  • Perform medical assisting tasks, such as handling medical records and supporting office procedures.
  • Ensure the clinic operates smoothly by managing daily medical office duties.

Remote (3 Days Per Week)

  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule appointments and create patient charts in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Educate patients about our services and respond to inquiries with empathy and professionalism.

    • Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant with proven skills in patient care and medical assisting.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical records management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including patience and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems is a plus.
