Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, exceptional wine knowledge, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. This role is key to driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of service that reflects Corso’s standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house teams to deliver outstanding hospitality aligned with Corso’s brand values.
- Cultivate a positive workplace environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and employee engagement.
- Manage and enhance the restaurant’s wine program, including staff education, inventory, and wine pairings for seasonal menus.
- Monitor and maintain key performance metrics, including labor costs, occupancy costs, and profitability goals.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure consistent execution of food and beverage standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism and poise.
- Assist in scheduling, budgeting, and overall operational planning.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a high-volume, upscale dining environment.
- Strong understanding of hospitality and the guest experience.
- Advanced wine knowledge, including certifications (WSET, CMS, or equivalent), is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant financial metrics and experience in achieving targeted goals.
- Passion for Italian-American cuisine and fine dining is a plus.
