Position Summary:
The HR Representative is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This includes assisting with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The role serves as a liaison between employees and management to ensure a positive and productive workplace environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating new hire orientations.
- Employee Relations: Provide support to employees by addressing inquiries and concerns related to workplace issues, company policies, and procedures. Assist in resolving conflicts and ensuring employee satisfaction.
- Compliance & Policy Adherence: Help ensure the company is compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits enrollment and changes. Provide information regarding healthcare, retirement, and other company-provided benefits.
- Training & Development: Help with employee training programs, maintain training records, and ensure employees have access to necessary learning resources.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Performance Management: Assist in the administration of performance reviews, provide guidance on performance improvement plans, and help track employee performance metrics.
- HR Projects & Support: Support HR department initiatives, such as employee engagement activities, diversity programs, and workplace improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR-related software.
- Bilingual skills preferred.

Physical Environment:
Normal office environment but will be out in the plant often. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals—including allergen ingredients such as nuts and eggs.
