What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Setup position at THE JAMES SKINNER LLC?
Description of Job: Set-Up is responsible for Production Line equipment set-up, equipment break-down and re-assembly for cleaning, non-motorized cart and rack wheel replacement, case erector/tray former set-up, and process improvement for production equipment. Their Primary duty is to maintain, repair, pre-run preparation of production equipment.
- Abide by all regulations, policies, codes, work procedures, and instructions.
- Follow all safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and use all appropriate safety equipment. Also ensure employees are doing the same.
- Follows instructions to meet the production needs for applicable line set up and equipment needs based on product being ran for that shift.
- Ensure all lines are set properly as the production schedule demands.
- Able to follow set up sheets and maintain the timeline for on time start up.
- Ensure all lines are in an available status and perform as expected for production runs.
- Communicate all set-up issues with lead and maintenance supervisor.
- Ensure applicable paperwork is completed correctly and the appropriate documentation is processed.
- Assist with new line set-ups and line layouts with the help of shift supervisors as needed and documentation for record keeping.
- Assist in new product samples, set-ups, etc.
- Be on time and at the job on a consistent basis.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and modules in English equivalent to those skills gained through a high school diploma or equivalent
- Effective and proper use of basic hand tools, power tools, and other diagnostic tools as needed.
- Read production line layout diagrams.
- Perform assembly and disassembly of specified equipment in accordance with established standards.
- Develop/Have ability to train other set-up personnel on equipment and procedures.
- Other duties assigned.
