Position Summary:
As the Director of Foundation Development, you will lead the newly-established JPCHC Foundation, helping to shape the vision and direction of our philanthropic efforts. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a critical role in driving the long-term success and sustainability of our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) fundraising initiatives.
Youll work closely with the Foundation and Health Center Boards to strategize, build relationships, and implement innovative fundraising tactics. Youll be responsible for engaging donors, board members, and staff, ensuring the long-term health of our philanthropy program. Your leadership will be key to ensuring that the Foundation achieves its mission of enhancing healthcare services for our communities.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
-
Lead the development and execution of the philanthropy strategy in alignment with the health centers long-term goals.

Establish annual targets for fundraising and develop action plans to achieve them.

Collaborate with the leadership team to integrate philanthropy into overall organizational planning.

Develop a Foundation budget, metrics, and performance measurement systems.

Fundraising Functions:
-
Create and implement tailored fundraising strategies for high-capacity donors and organizations.

Cultivate relationships with donors through the entire donor cycle, from identification to stewardship.

Lead donor outreach and engagement efforts to drive major gifts, meeting and exceeding fundraising goals.

Ensure that donor confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA are strictly followed.

Collaborate with the Marketing team on donor recognition, events, and communications.

Stewardship & Relationship Management:

Oversee donor recognition programs and ensure effective stewardship practices.

Work with leadership and staff to deploy donations effectively, aligning with organizational goals.

Collaborate with Marketing to ensure the success of the Foundations outreach and public relations efforts.

Foundation & Administrative Management:
-
Lead day-to-day operations of the Foundation, ensuring smooth execution of development initiatives.

Oversee donor record management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Work with the CFO and accounting team to ensure proper fiscal management of donations and expenses.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, maintaining high ethical standards in all fundraising practices.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
-
Bachelors degree in a related field (Masters preferred).
-
At least 4 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in major gift solicitation and donor stewardship.

Experience in supervisory and management roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Proven experience in developing and implementing fundraising programs, including annual campaigns, major gifts, and planned giving programs.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Expertise in donor relations, proposal writing, and fundraising strategies.

Familiarity with fundraising software (experience with Bloomerang/Qgiv a plus).

Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across the organization and community.
