Job Summary: Greet and assign customers to a sales team at a fast paced, high end appliance, plumbing, lighting, and hardware showroom. Answer phone calls and schedule service calls. Process customer payments and assist in keeping the showroom clean.
Knowledge
· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records.
· Strong Knowledge of principles and processes for providing stellar customer service
· Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words and use of proper grammar
· Experience with appliances, plumbing fixtures, decorative hardware and lighting is preferred but not required
Skills
· Strong Communication, both in writing and orally, with ability to convey information effectively and accurate. Possess strong listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Use of electronic mail, writing letters and memos, face to face discussion with customers and coworkers with heavy telephone activity
· Demonstrate Social/Service skills, actively look for ways to help people.
· Use of computer applications, such as Word, PDF, Excel, Mail, Internet to type text, insert pictures, format, edit, print, save, and retrieve word processing documents, and create PDF documents.
Work Setting
· Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
· Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people.
Tasks
· Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to appropriate sales team.
· Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
· File and maintain records.
· Answer telephones to direct calls or provide information.
· Receive payments.
· Perform administrative support tasks such as taking/delivering messages.
· Provide information about establishment, such as services provided.
Job Type
This position is full-time with benefits. It has work hour requirements of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9-5:30 and Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Pay Range
$13.00 - $18.00 per hour
