Team Lead

Description

This Team Lead position is available for an experienced applicant who enjoys working in a warehouse environment. This role is involved in all aspects of providing outstanding leadership to employees and temporary associates in the Lancaster Corporate Warehouse facility.

You are a Jay Group team member from day 1. This is a direct hire permanent position.

Schedule: Thursday - Sunday 6am to 4:30pm or Saturday - Tuesday 6am - 4:30pm!  Work 4 days per week and have 3 days off!

Team Lead Job Responsibilities:

• Assigns tasks to diverse team members to optimize productivity
• Monitors the productivity of your team members, sharing numbers daily and coaching under-performers
• Auditing the quality of work performed by your team members and giving feedback as necessary
• Assists Supervisor with documentation, job set-ups and paperwork
• Maintaining high standards for professional conduct
• Onboarding and Training new hires
• Giving feedback is necessary for productivity, attendance, or workplace conduct
• Listening to feedback and resolving issues from your team, escalating as necessary
• Promoting a safe and motivating workplace and atmosphere

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership to team members on various projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision while leading a team
• Some computer skills needed
• Previous experience in warehouse/distribution using a warehouse management system is required. Ecommerce experience preferred
• Must be able to lift and carry/move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work overtime throughout the year especially during the 4th quarter (November - December)
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required
