Summary/Objective
We are looking for a flexible, results-driven team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work and consistently meet deadlines.
Essential Functions
- Assist Project Manager, Project Engineer and Superintendent as required;
- Assist in management of project permit process;
- Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement;
- Assist in ensuring project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule;
- Assist in gathering submittals from subcontractors/suppliers and create submittal log;
- Assist in reviewing processed submittals and forward to subcontractors/suppliers and the field;
- Assist in obtaining additional information for submittals as needed/revise and resubmit as required;
- Assist in obtaining quotes from subcontractors/suppliers for additional work as requested;
- Setup initial contracts and project information in Prolog/Procore;
- Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals;
- Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIs;
- Update construction schedule based on project team input, Trade Contractor progress and materials delivery;
- Change management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders;
- Track and inspect material deliveries;
- Ability to travel frequently and remain eligible to operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for company purposes per Fleet Safety Management policy; and
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent;
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program;
- Must be able to travel within New Mexico;
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); and
- Experience requiring successful organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, customer service and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Suretrak and Timberline Estimating a plus.
- Spanish speaking a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a variety of environments that will include working outside in extreme weather conditions and noise levels. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-union position. Hours of work typically range from 20-40 hours a week.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma (or equivalent) and enrollment in an accredited university/college program required.

- Must pass a pre-employment screen, including but not limited to a drug and alcohol screen, background check, motor vehicle records check, reference check and physical (if applicable).
- Current and valid driver’s license in the state of permanent residence (must be insurable by Jaynes automobile insurance carrier in order to drive a Jaynes vehicle).
- Must be eligible per Fleet Safety Management policy to operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for company purposes.
