What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychologist position at The Jazzy Doc, PC?
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Psychologist to join our evidence based, collaborative, and culturally competent practice.
I am seeking a psychologist (LMFT, PhD, PsyD) to join my outpatient private practice of psychiatry. It is my belief that the quality of our mental health determines the quality of our life, and I am passionate of helping patients improve in a holistic manner. In my training as a psychiatrist, therapy was highly emphasized and to me it is an integral part of the healing process.
Our practice specializes in mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, as well as cultural and identity issues. We draw from a wide range of treatment modalities, including psychopharmacology, talk therapy, psycho-education and wellness recommendations. It is our belief that who we are today is a complex process that has been shaped by many factors, including your environment, life events, childhood experiences, and genetic predispositions and coping mechanisms. To us, a psychiatric evaluation ought to be more than just selecting a diagnosis to describe symptoms; a psychiatric evaluation should help the patient understand the many biological, psychological and social-cultural factors that have contributed to their experience and symptoms. Our recommendations are based on current scientific research, clinical judgement and experience.
The ideal candidate for the position would understand and implement this practice philosophy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background of knowledge of various therapy modalities. This role requires a commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration with a board certified psychiatrist as well as interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
