Summary/Objective
The retail sales clerk is responsible for providing great customer service, obtaining and receiving merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payments, and making change for customers in retail store.
Essential Functions

· Provide superior customer service
· Verify consumers age for all lottery, alcohol, and tobacco purchases
· Stock shelves, counters, and displays with merchandise
· Mark or tag prices on merchandise
· Answer customer questions
· Suggestive selling
· Accept payment and make change
· Counting inventory
· Count and record cash and inventory records for each shift
· Perform any other daily duties as assigned

Work Environment
This job operates in a retail business environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as cash registers, pricing guns, coffee machines, and other small food service appliances.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and or move items that weigh more than 30 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Days, night, weekends, and holiday shifts will be required. Days and hours of work may vary by schedule.
