We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Summer Camp Counselor to join our team!
As a counselor, you’ll be responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment for campers ages 4-15. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, has a lively spirit, and brings a passion for summer camp traditions and activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Maintain a safe and supportive environment for campers ages 4-15, supervising them during all camp activities and transitions. Model appropriate behavior to other staff and campers
- Engagement: Foster a fun, positive atmosphere, bringing enthusiasm and energy to each day, and encouraging camper participation and camaraderie.
- Problem Solving: Help manage conflicts and provide guidance as needed to support camper friendships, cooperation, and respect for others.
- Support Individual Needs: Adapt activities and approaches to meet the varying needs, interests, and energy levels of campers within your group.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all camp safety protocols, ensuring campers’ well-being during activities, outings, and mealtime.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Attributes: Positive, energetic, and patient, with a genuine enjoyment for working with children and creating a fun camp environment.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
