Job Summary:
Join our team as a Maintenance employee at our summer camp, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and fun environment for campers and staff. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, thrives in an outdoor setting, and has a positive attitude.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:
- Transport coolers filled with campers' lunches to and from designated areas.
- Drive a golf cart for various camp errands, including delivering supplies and assisting staff.

Activity Support:
- Assist in setting up and breaking down activities, ensuring all equipment is ready and functioning.
- Provide support to activity leaders as needed.

Facility Maintenance:
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly throughout the camp.
- Clean and maintain the lunch tent, ensuring it is organized and sanitary.
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of camp bathrooms, restocking supplies as needed.
- Safety & Security:
- Proactively identify and report any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Camp Director or Assistant Director
- Follow the “If You See Something, Say Something” policy to ensure the safety and well-being of campers, staff, and visitors.
- Keep an eye out for unauthorized people on property.

General Maintenance:
- Address minor repairs and upkeep as directed by the Camp Director
- Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 pounds).
- Comfortable driving a golf cart and navigating through camp and around children.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous experience in maintenance or custodial work is a plus but not required.
Work Conditions:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Active, physical role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the day.
