The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center (HHC) exists to ensure the lessons of the Holocaust inspire action today. Located at the historic Union Terminal, HHC is an award-winning museum and education center dedicated to connecting history to the present through powerful, interactive experiences.
We are seeking confident and engaging individuals to join our Education team as Education Facilitators. This role is essential in delivering education programs for a wide range of audiences, including students, educators, and professional groups.
Role Overview
The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center (HHC) is seeking an Education Facilitator to lead a variety of structured educational sessions and museum tours adhering to professionalized plans and scripts for both student and professional audiences. HHC’s education pedagogy is grounded in reflective discussions, interactive activities and storytelling, while the curriculum is centered on character-strengths education, the history of the Holocaust and HHC’s upstander framework.
The Educational Facilitator will work closely with HHC’s constituents as well as other members of the Education team to ensure each client has a smooth, engaging, and transformative learning opportunity. This role will also include positive relationship building with clients and stakeholders in order to elevate HHC’s mission and position the organization as a premier educational organization in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a variety of educational programs and museum experiences as outlined in provided lesson plans and scripts while maintaining an engaging presence and adapting to different audiences.

Use strong public speaking and storytelling skills to ensure clarity, engagement, and consistency.

Prepare all necessary materials for scheduled sessions, including printing handouts, setting up the room with required resources (e.g., computer hook up, seating arrangements), and ensuring all materials are ready for use.

Flexibly deliver instruction in a variety of settings and environments throughout HHC, Union Terminal, school sites, businesses, community spaces, and/or virtually.

Serve as an ambassador of HHC’s mission, maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm, while stewarding client and stakeholder relationships.

Participate in ongoing training to deepen knowledge of Holocaust history, museum education strategies, positive psychology, the VIA Character Strengths model and best practices in facilitation.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in education, museum education, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in education, professional development, professional coaching, community-based learning, large-group facilitation or a related field.

Background in social-emotional learning, character education, or experiential learning models strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies

Confident and personable, with a strong presence and the ability to engage audiences of all ages. Skilled in public speaking and group facilitation.

Able to follow structured lesson plans and scripts while delivering content dynamically.

Comfortable adjusting tone, pacing, and lesson based on the audience.

Passionate about education, history, human rights, and character development.

Working knowledge of the VIA Institute’s Character Strengths and the field of positive psychology.

Excellent relationship-building skills with students, educators, and community partners.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and an active calendar simultaneously.

Open to continuous learning, particularly in Holocaust and humanity education.

Able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Weekly hours vary based on demand, Primary work hours: 9 AM – 2 PM, Monday-Friday, with additional opportunities on evenings and weekends.
