We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Full-Time Substitute Teacher to join our educational team for grades 6-12. This position involves providing instructional support and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The successful candidate will engage with students in various subjects, ensuring continuity in the learning process and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Roles & Responsibilities__________________________________
The position includes but is not limited to these primary areas of responsibility :
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the regular teacher across various subjects within the 6-12 grade levels.
- Utilize provided lesson plans, resources, and materials to meet academic objectives.
- Establish and maintain a conducive learning environment by implementing effective classroom management strategies.
- Enforce school policies and procedures to maintain order and discipline.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages active student participation.
- Address individual learning needs and differentiate instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with other educators, administrators, and support staff to ensure seamless coordination during teacher absences.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and behavior.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions to stay current on educational best practices and school policies.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Adapt to different teaching styles, grade levels, and subject matters as required.
- Respond positively to last-minute changes and adjustments.
Qualifications ___________________________________
Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a substitute in an educational setting.
Applicants must possess either an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree.
