Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have OMMA credentials, have a general knowledge of cannabis, be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in assigned areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to established cleaning standards.
Budtender Responsibilities:
- Must have open availability and be flexible.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding cleaning schedules and any maintenance issues.
- Assist in supervising junior staff or interns when necessary to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and supply ordering.
- Conduct product demonstrations for new cleaning supplies or equipment as required.
- Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained.
- Positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain product knowledge.
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system in person.
- Accurate and timely data entry of patient profile Verifying proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for customers.
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
Experience
- Previous experience in bud tending or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with retail sales concepts is a plus, particularly in a dispensary setting.
- Basic math skills are essential for managing inventory and supplies.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and guests.
- Experience with cash registers or retail math can be beneficial for managing supply orders.
- Ability to demonstrate phone etiquette when communicating with vendors or suppliers.
