Job Duties
- Provide services to a caseload of 200 middle school and high school students at Fall Mountain Regional, Mascoma, Newport, and Stevens High Schools and Indian River, Newport and Claremont Middle Schools.
- Provide participants with educational, career, financial literacy and financial aid information to promote persistence, graduation from high school and enrollment and graduation from college.
- Submit supporting data and reports.
- Interact with school and community professionals.
- Provide educational, career, college, financial literacy and financial aid information.
- Provide academic support and advising, individually and in groups.
- Resolve problems of program participants using appropriate advocacy and assistance.
- Collect data for program and USDE reports.
- Maintain necessary records and files on program participants.
- Work with school personnel and other professional organizations to increase knowledge and continually update and improve the quality of services to participants.
- Attend seminars, staff meetings and workshops.
- Plan, organize and implement college visits, job site tours and other experiences for program participants.
- Establish contact with parents via workshops, meetings, email and telephone as needed.
- Complete additional administrative tasks as needed
- Masters degree, preferably in Education, Counseling or Human Services and two years experience working with middle school and high school students or Bachelors degree and four years of related experience
- Experience in using a variety of computer applications
- Attention to detail
- Preference for candidates who live in the western region of the state near the school districts that will be served.
