Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal parts using tools such as saws, shears, torches, and welding equipment.
- Operate machinery like CNC machines, press brakes, grinders, and drills.
- Weld, solder, or bolt components together according to design specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to improve fabrication processes.
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of materials such as steel, aluminum, and other metals.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Certification in welding (AWS, CWI) or metal fabrication.
- Experience with CNC machining or CAD software.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or construction setting.
