What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA and/or HHA - New Vision Home Care position at The Job Network?
We're looking for certified home health aides in various locations in Putnam County (See Locations Below) to be at the heart of our client's care. As a home health aide with New Vision Home Care, you'll need to reside in the area where you apply and provide exceptional care that our clients rely on to stay safe at home. Duties:
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care is preferred.Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Qualifications: You NEED to be a Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalencyDemonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skillsMust be at least 18 years oldAble to read and write at a 5th-grade levelDriver with a reliable car preferred If you are a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients in their homes, we would love to hear from you.
