About The Tech Program Intern III (Information Security) Job
What you’ll do on a typical day: Help implement information security processes to protect the company against the breach of protected information and unauthorized intrusion into our network and systems. You will focus on Security Engineering and Architecture with an additional focus on cyber threat hunting, vulnerability discovery, pen testing, offensive security, risk management and threat intelligence monitoring.Learn how various cybersecurity teams work, from security engineering to cyber intelligence and everything in betweenGain hands-on experience with network, edge, and endpoint protection tools; learn how these events are correlated into a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) program, and how we leverage vulnerability data and cyber intelligence to find and remediate potential issuesLearn all aspects of a security organization while collaborating with security engineers, the Security Operation Center (SOC) analysts, incident responders, forensics analysts, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and moreParticipate in the day-to-day health monitoring and security engineering operations as they troubleshoot XPO’s security tool stackParticipate in reporting metrics, writing technical documentation, and learning to utilize cutting-edge enterprise-level security tools to hunt threatsLearn and participate in the core functionality of each team that you work withBecome familiar with Next Generation Protection (firewalls, endpoint), how to use various security tools, vulnerability scanning tools, and cyber intelligence tools
