Job Store Staffing has partnered with a client in the printing industry to recruit for an Accounting Supervisor in the Denver, Colorado area. The Accounting Supervisor will be a direct hire opportunity.
The position will be onsite S Sante and I-25.
Salary: $70,000-75,000/year
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Job Summary:
Acts as the Primary Accounting Supervisor in developing/administering/managing the Print Manufacturing Accounting Systems and related activities of the accounting staff for the company.
Supervises: Directly or indirectly supervises accounting, billing, and credit staff.

Essential Job Functions of the Accounting Supervisor:
- Primarily responsible for the management of the accounts payable function, including reviewing statements and invoices, and processing payments.
- Monitor bank transactions and update the Accounting System accordingly.
- Manage credit card transactions for each card holder and ensure charges are accurately posted to the Accounting System.
- Responsible for monthly close duties, including inventory reconciliation and adjustments, ink tote reconciliation and accrual, and A/P close.
- Ensure quality control over accounting transactions
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of annual and periodic external audits
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including 1099s
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Perform process reviews and routinely implement improvements that emphasize efficiency of operations and quality of outputs
Desired Qualifications/Competencies of the Accounting Supervisor:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university, or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the necessary skills and abilities required for the position.
- Five to seven of progressive experience, including accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with month-end/year end close process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively including explanation of accounting principles to non-financial staff
