Role Overview :

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead the product development process from ideation to execution while collaborating across departments to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering design, manufacturing processes, and ERP systems to optimize production and maximize efficiency.

You will report directly to the President and play a key role in shaping the company’s growth and innovation. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about design, engineering, and bringing ideas to life in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and Develop the Engineering Team : Manage, mentor, and grow a small team of designers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Product Development : Oversee the full product lifecycle from conceptualization to manufacturing, including design, prototyping, material sourcing, and testing.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with operations, production, and sales teams to ensure product specifications, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement : Drive advancements in design, materials, and engineering processes to meet evolving customer needs and industry trends.
• Quality Assurance : Ensure all products meet the highest quality and regulatory standards, including UL certifications.
• Project Management : Oversee timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Strategic Vision : Contribute to the long-term product roadmap, integrating emerging technologies and design trends to maintain a competitive edge.
• Operational Efficiency : Monitor team performance, optimize internal systems, and propose innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
• Budget and Resource Management : Prepare and oversee the engineering department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Hiring and Training : Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent to strengthen the team’s capabilities.
