Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Colorado Springs, 80906
Pay: $25 - $30 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, starting at either 7 AM or 8 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for procurement, inventory management, supplier negotiations, and ensuring a smooth supply chain operation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished goods, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Request quotes, negotiate pricing, and establish long-term agreements with suppliers.
- Identify sources for new products and alternative supply solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve non-conforming materials issues.
- Maintain supplier records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Monitor demand to ensure production and sales needs are met.
- Lead supplier communication and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Prepare cost analysis reports and monitor purchasing trends.
- Analyze warehouse inventory needs and execute supply chain strategies.
- Address procurement and planning challenges with effective solutions.
- Manage and update Bills of Materials (BOM) across product lines.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers via phone, email, and in person.
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ensure financial integrity when handling purchasing data and company resources.
- Utilize mathematical skills for inventory calculations and cost analysis, including foreign currency conversions.
- Travel as necessary to support supply chain operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must have at least five years of managerial experience in a supply chain setting.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials planning preferred.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data, manage inventory, and create reports.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
