Job SummaryAccountable for all aspects related to the planning, budget, management, direction, and performance of the Department of Laboratory and Pathology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) and Johns Hopkins Specialty Physicians. Responsible to ensure the department, point of care, and ancillary laboratory sites are compliant with all regulatory agencies including but not limited to CAP, CLIA, TJC, and the FDA. Responsible for the day-to-day operations, in collaboration with the Medical Director for both operations and the professional component and for driving excellence throughout the assigned areas. Acts as a partner of the leadership team and patriciates in strategic planning and realization of goals for the laboratory and pathology.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Masters preferred5 years of management experience in a laboratoryFlorida license and / or a certification (MT-ASCP) with active membership in good standing with professional associationKnowledgeable and clinically competent in appropriate laboratory diagnostic proceduresAbility to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patientsPossess a record of successfully demonstrating initiative, self-direction and independence of thought, coupled with a diversified and creative approach to problem solving#J-18808-Ljbffr
