Job Description
The Joint Commission is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as a Disease Specific Care Reviewer-Ortho. This critical role involves reviewing certification programs for various orthopedic procedures, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based care.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate certification programs for total hip replacement, total knee replacement, spine, total shoulder replacement, total ankle replacement, hip fracture, and advanced total joint replacement.
- Provide educational and inspirational reviews to partner organizations, highlighting best practices in orthopedics.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in nursing or licensure as a physician required.
- Board certification in orthopedics required.
- Five years of active experience in orthopedics.
- Involvement in or familiarity with disease-specific care certification programs for orthopedics.
Physical Abilities
- Must be able to observe healthcare treatment in real-time without slowing or interrupting the process.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, walk lengthy distances, lift, climb, stoop, pull, and push to inspect medical facilities, equipment, and procedures.
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
