- Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts within the construction industry,
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional customer service
- Assess clients' insurance needs, provide risk management advice, and recommend appropriate coverage options
- Prepare and present insurance proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize policy placements
- Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to obtain quotes and bind coverage for clients
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new insurance products to provide expert guidance to clients
- Work closely with the sales team to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client base
- Ensure all client files and documentation are accurate, up to date, and in compliance with company standards and legal requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5 years of experience in commercial insurance account management, with a focus on construction or contracting clients
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and underwriting processes
- Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving retention and growth targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Insurance designations such as CIC, CRM, or CPCU are preferred
- A valid insurance license in the state of employment is required
