Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, focusing on developing sales strategies that drive revenue and exceed goals.
- Build and implement programs to assist salespeople in generating new business and increasing revenue.
- Hold team members accountable to KPIs, providing guidance and support to those struggling to meet targets.
- Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to motivate and enhance the skills of the team.
- Collaborate with marketing representatives, carriers, and external partners to explore new sales opportunities and optimize the sales process.
- Manage a small book of business, ensuring effective account management and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Oversee business development efforts, ensuring sales goals are met across multiple agencies.
- Network with industry partners and attend relevant industry events to build the company’s market presence and expand its customer base.
- Provide guidance and expertise to salespeople, focusing on skill development, problem-solving, and meeting performance targets.
- Valid P&C (Property and Casualty) License required.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in commercial lines insurance sales.
- Previous managerial or training experience in a sales environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive sales performance, manage KPIs, and achieve revenue targets.
- Ability to manage a book of business, providing excellent service and retaining clients.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly in commercial lines.
- Salary: Between $70K and $120K, based on experience.
- Bonus opportunities based on team performance.
