Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Provide timely support for assigned accounts, managing policy documents and addressing client inquiries promptly.
- Communicate effectively with carriers and customers, collaborating with account representatives to enhance client servicing.
- Resolve issues related to policy coverage, billing, membership, and claims efficiently.
- Utilize Employee Navigator to build groups and plans.
- Manage enrollments and terminations.
- Implement and update the COBRA Administrator as required.
- Market renewal options with carriers to secure competitive rates and terms for clients.
- Prepare and present comprehensive benefit proposals to clients, highlighting value and customization options tailored to their needs.
- Adhere to agency workflows and standards to maintain operational efficiency.
- Stay abreast of insurance industry changes to continuously expand knowledge.
- Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work with clients at a strategic level.
- Holds an active Life and Health (L&H) Insurance License.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous experience with Employee Navigator (required) and Applied EPIC (preferred).
- Previous level-funded and fully-funded experience is required.
- Previous self-funded experience is preferred.
- 5 years of experience as an Employee Benefits Account Manager within an Insurance Brokerage Firm.
- A proven track record of consistent job tenure in previous roles is required.
- Holds at least one professional designation or has comparable job experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and uphold company policies with confidentiality.
- Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
