Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite insurance policies for large commercial property businesses, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze risk factors, loss history, and other relevant data to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with brokers and agents to gather necessary information and insights into clients' businesses.
• Review policy documentation, endorsements, and renewal information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks affecting middle-market underwriting.
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams on underwriting-related matters.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Large Commercial Property Underwriter or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
• Industry certifications such as CPCU or ARM are a plus.
  
  

Compensation

• $100,000 - $135,000/year based on years of experience
• Annual bonus potential of up to 20%
