In this role, you will be responsible for managing personal insurance accounts, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and overseeing a team of account managers to ensure the efficient delivery of services. You will also be involved in training and mentoring team members to achieve performance goals and maintain high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client Account Management:
- Manage a portfolio of personal lines insurance accounts, including home, auto, renters, and umbrella policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries, offering advice, and addressing concerns regarding their insurance needs.
- Review and process policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations in a timely manner.
- Assist clients with claims and guide them through the claims process when necessary.
- Conduct policy reviews with clients to ensure their coverage is adequate and up to date.
- Lead and supervise a team of Personal Lines Account Managers, ensuring they meet or exceed performance standards and client expectations.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, set goals, and encourage collaboration.
- Monitor team workflow and productivity, ensuring timely follow-up on accounts and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Support and motivate the team to foster a positive and proactive work environment.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional coverage to existing clients.
- Assist with new business development efforts by responding to leads, preparing quotes, and onboarding new clients.
- Contribute to achieving individual and team sales goals through proactive client engagement.
- Ensure all activities comply with state and federal insurance regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in the agency management system.
- Assist with audits or other compliance-related activities as required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal lines insurance account management or similar roles.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Licensing:
- Active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License required.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products, including home, auto, and umbrella policies.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze insurance coverage and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
- Proficiency with insurance management software (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar).
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
