Job Description
Title
Personal Account Advisor - $45K-$55K
Job Summary
Review insurance coverage’s, answer insured’s questions, remarket insurance, and perform various clerical duties. To provide customer service assistance to other members of the personal lines team.
Duties And Responsibilities
Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, administrative problems, and comply with request and refer to the producer or managers only when necessary.
Provide proof on insurance for lienholders and mortgages as requested.
If insured request changes to their coverage a change request is entered, printed and placed in the processors box.
Handle carrier interfacing. This encompasses entering policies in rating systems,
uploading, and downloading.
Assist with remarkets if policy premium is excessive at renewal or if insured is unhappy with current carrier and premium.
Handle routine correspondence between carriers, agency, and insureds.
Maintain electronic and/or paper files in and orderly, up to date manner.
Perform special projects at management’s request.
Knowledge And Skills
Knowledge of Personal Lines Insurance coverages and terms.
Have knowledge of modern business communication, including style and format of letters.
Skills to use a personal computer and various software programs (Word, Excel.)
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objective without supervision.
Have the ability to handle and resolve problems.
Credentials And Experience
Must have or obtain an Alabama Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Minimum of two years experience in similar position in desired.
