Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and professional Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of personal lines insurance products. This role is essential to ensuring a high level of satisfaction for our clients by providing exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Interaction: Respond to client inquiries regarding personal lines insurance products, including home, auto, renters, and umbrella policies.
  • Policy Maintenance: Assist in policy changes, renewals, and endorsements, ensuring all necessary documentation is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Quote Generation: Provide quotes for personal lines insurance policies based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Claims Support: Assist clients with the claims process by providing guidance, submitting claims, and following up on status updates.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate client records and documentation using our agency management system.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concerns in a professional manner while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Selling & Upselling: Identify opportunities for additional coverage and promote products that meet customer needs.
  • Compliance: Ensure all customer interactions and processes comply with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure effective communication and efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service or personal lines insurance is preferred.
  • Licensing: Insurance license in property and casualty (preferred, or must be willing to obtain).
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of customer inquiries.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management software.
  • Attributes:
    • Customer-focused with a passion for helping others.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
