Compensation

• $160,000 - $210,000/year

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental underwriting (toxic tort, asbestos, pollution), with 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental insurance products, risk assessment, and underwriting principles.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and develop underwriting talent.
• Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with brokers and agents.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Environmental Underwriters, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop and implement regional underwriting strategies for environmental insurance products.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of the regional environmental portfolio, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and agents in the region, promoting the company’s environmental offerings.
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
