We are a mental health practice seeking a medical receptionist to join our team in a full-time (option part-time) position. We’re looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service. You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, assisting with maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for our patients and their families. The right candidate will be both personable and well organized.
Duties:
· Welcome patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone
· Field patients to appropriate providers, whether in-house or to outside referral sources
· Schedule patient appointments
· Obtain identification and insurance information and any other necessary data
· Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
· Answer or Field patient questions about billing and invoices.
· Process insurance co-pay payments and post amounts paid to patient accounts.
· Answer telephone calls and forward messages to appropriate staff
· Send and receive faxes
· Scan and upload documents to patient files
· Send reminders to clients and manage scheduling of appointments
· Data entry (Client info, insurance info, Testing materials, etc.)
· Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
· Attend regular staffing meetings
· Other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school diploma required (Associate degree preferred)
· 2 years experience as medical receptionist experience preferred
· Familiarity with HIPAA
· Proficiency in basic computer skills such as typing/word processing
· Ability to multi-task
· Telephone Skills
· Excellent communication and problem solving skills
· Time Management and Organization skills
· Attention to Detail
Compensation: $20-$21 per hour

Shift: 9:30am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday (option for split shifts if PT)
