We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and facilitating smooth communication between the front of house and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Managing seating
- Directing guests to their tables
- Keeping track of waitlists and providing accurate wait time estimates
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Bussing and assisting with servers on the floor
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Utilize the POS system for managing orders and guest interactions.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, enhancing overall guest relations.
- Will receive 1-2% tipout from server staff
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on effective communication.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Toast POS, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, and weekends as required.

Pay: $14.70 - $15.00 per hour
